Job summary

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in industrial cleaning is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Autonomous and enjoys teamwork.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Hands-on, action-oriented and adaptable.
• Comfortable learning technical aspects of the role.
• WHMIS knowledge is an asset.
• Available to complete daytime training for about 6–8 weeks before night schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of the sanitation team and assign tasks.
• Prepare and adjust the work schedule based on production needs.
• Conduct inspections to verify cleaning quality and follow up on discrepancies.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with cleaning, sanitation, food safety, and health and safety procedures.
• Validate effectiveness of cleaning tasks using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Collaborate with quality, production, and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate sanitation during planned production shutdowns.
• Monitor supplies, materials, and equipment for sanitation activities.
• Train team members on best practices for cleaning and sanitation.
• Handle administrative follow-ups including timesheets, absences and vacations.
• Report risk situations and contribute to quality and food safety objectives.
