Job summary

We are seeking a full-time Sanitation team member for the night shift (10:30pm–6:30am, Sun to Thu on a rotating schedule) at Dare Foods Limited. Starting wage is $19.14 per hour with progression.

You will clean and sanitize the facility daily and assist with non-daily tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation standards, following SSOPs, health and safety rules, and using cleaning chemicals and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with moving and dismantling equipment to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
• Lockout-tagout knowledge is required.
• Exposure to/working with chemicals such as detergents and bleach.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
• Problem solving, task planning and continuous learning.
• Experience in an industrial GMP plant or janitorial industry is preferred.
• Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of sanitation in all areas of the facility.
• Complete all daily sanitation tasks, as per the Sanitation Checklist.
• Complete additional non-daily cleaning tasks, as per required frequency
• Ensures that all manufacturing equipment are cleaned, sanitized and handled according to company standards
• Assists in the cleaning of production lines and ensures that lines are properly cleaned within the acceptable time frame
• Individual must be able to work in a self-paced environment. Individual will need to be detail oriented which will ensure that the cleaning/sanitation functions are executed according to the SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
• Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
• Individual will be required to work with cleaning chemicals and variety of cleaning tools such as brushes, cloths, buckets, mops, walk-behind floor scrubber and equipment foamer/sanitizer.
• Individual will take direction from the Sanitation Team Lead or Supervisor for training and task assignments.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties.
