Job summary

Scandinave Spa Whistler is seeking a Night Housekeeping Team Lead to oversee the Night Cleaning Team and ensure the upkeep of all indoor areas within the Whistler location.

You will coordinate tasks, mentor staff, and uphold the Scandinave Spa Whistler standards for guest spaces including reception, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and outdoor areas. This role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and attention to detail in a tranquil spa setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cleaning experience.
• Preference for experience in working overnight shifts.
• Demonstrated skill in leading a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Great leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to think on their feet, be proactive, problem solve, and deal with change daily.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership, encourage motivation within the Night Housekeeping Team and guide the team to a high standard of service.
• Ensure fair and balanced distribution of daily tasks among team members.
• Assist with team member training, provide constructive feedback for performance evaluations, and help address any performance concerns through coaching and development.
• Support with any necessary disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and adherence to company policies.
• Offer ongoing support to the Night Housekeeping Team, addressing any issues or concerns that may come up during shifts.
• Maintain the cleanliness and quality of the spa site to the Scandinave Spa Standards for our guests.
• Ensure indoor areas are impeccably clean, including reception, reservation, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and offices.
• Ensure outdoor areas are impeccably clean, including hot pools, saunas, steam rooms, and solariums.
• Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and conduct regular inventory checks on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Maintain all cleaning standards established by the Scandinave Spa Whistler.
• Facilitate clear communication with the Night Housekeeping Supervisor/Spa Experience and Housekeeping Manager regarding supplies, repairs and team performance.
• All other tasks requested of you for the smooth and efficient function of the Spa Scandinave Whistler

Hourly Rate: $27.38/hr
