The Night Auditor-Front Desk Agent will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by anticipating guest needs and providing friendly, efficient, and superior customer service during all guest interactions. The position is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment at the Front Desk while maintaining high internal & external guest service standards, as well as completing the Night Audit.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
• Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
• Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
• Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts, and vouchers using computerized systems.
• Perform daily accounting data entry and reconciliation.
• Run all Night Audit reports and report discrepancies to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and Accounting Office.
• Post any late charges not posted on the previous shift.
• Complete Food & Beverage Audit and enter journal entries.
• Complete credit card and city ledger sequences.
• Coordinate and complete backup procedures.
• Run night audit sequence.
• Deliver audit materials to the Accounting Office.
• Complete gratuities porterage distribution report daily.
• Complete daily room pickup and forecast reports.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years Front Desk experience.
• Experience with Rooms Forecasting and/or Budgeting is an asset.
• Understanding of Yield and Revenue Management is an asset.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Alignment with Coast’s core values and a culture of accountability.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
