Job description

We are looking for a Night Auditor to join our team at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC. This position is responsible for providing professional guest service while ensuring the accuracy and completion of overnight hotel financial and operational processes. Working independently during overnight shifts, the Night Auditor performs front desk duties, guest support, reservations, security monitoring, and daily audit functions to support hotel operations and deliver a high-quality guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional guest service during overnight operations, answer phones, complete guest check‑in and check‑out procedures, respond to guest inquiries, and process reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
• Complete the nightly audit and end‑of‑day hotel balancing procedures, reconcile guest accounts, room charges, payments, and transactions.
• Verify daily revenues, prepare financial reports, process cash handling activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Identify discrepancies and report issues and maintenance concerns to management, conduct routine property monitoring, and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate overnight activities to management and incoming shifts, support hotel policies and procedures, and promote a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Work independently during overnight shifts, including some weekends and holidays, and stand/move throughout the shift, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ideally prior hotel front desk, customer service, cash handling, or hospitality experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and either experience with or the ability to learn hotel operating systems.
• Physical ability to stand, move, and lift up to 25 lbs.
