Night AuditorOur client is searching for a Night Auditor for their Boutique Hotel to join their team. This role will be responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift, including guest check-ins and check-outs, auditing financial transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. A successful candidate will recognize the unique atmosphere of a Boutique Hotel, and offer personalized service to maintain the brand.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:- Greet and assist guests with check-ins and check-outs, ensuring an efficient and welcoming process
- Address and resolve guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly, providing personalized service
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and other services
- Perform night audit procedures to ensure the accuracy of guest charges, payments, and other transactions
- Reconcile all hotel financial transactions from the day, including billing, payments, and room rates
- Verify and balance room revenue, restaurant charges, and other financial transactions in the property management system
- Prepare nightly reports for management, highlighting any discrepancies and unusual transactions
- Assist in maintaining an accurate record of daily cash, credit, and debit transactions
- Ensure all hotel systems are functioning properly during the night shift
- Complete security checks of the property, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff
- Assist with inventory control and ordering of supplies when needed
- Coordinate with the front office team and management to ensure all guest needs are met
- Communicate any maintenance issues or special requests to appropriate departments
- Provide a thorough handover of responsibilities to the morning shift
Your strengths include:- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Further education or certification in hospitality management is an asset
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or guest services is preferred
- Strong knowledge of property management systems and other hotel software
- Basic knowledge of accounting, finance, and auditing processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
