AtkinsRéalis invites graduates to join the Odyssey program, a Canada-wide early career development pathway based in part on Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary. You will gain hands-on rail infrastructure experience, mentorship, and exposure to diverse projects that shape communities worldwide.

As a new graduate, you will collaborate with a global team across rail design, safety, power distribution, and systems integration while developing skills for leadership in an inclusive, hybrid work

Qualifications

  • New grad with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (graduating 2027).
  • Strong interest in rail infrastructure, rail systems, track design, construction, and operations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in relevant industry‑standard software and engineering tools.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Design and support railway track and infrastructure projects, including layouts, drawings, cost estimates, and construction support.
  • Support safety analyses, compliance activities, and risk assessments for rail systems.
  • Assist in the design of electrical power systems for trains, stations, and transit facilities.
  • Coordinate and integrate multiple rail systems, manage interfaces, and support system testing.
  • Assist in signaling, train control, and communications system design and implementation.
  • Support the design, testing, and commissioning of rolling stock and transit systems.

Your role:

While working in theRail, TransitSdivision at AtkinsRéalis, you could put your skills to work in one of these key areas:

  • Rail Infrastructure: Design and support railway track and infrastructure projects, including track layouts, engineering drawings, cost estimates, and construction support.

  • Safety and systems assurance: Support safety analyses, compliance activities, and risk assessments to ensure rail systemsoperatesafely and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Transit Power Distribution: Assistin the design of electrical power systems that supply trains, stations, and transit facilities, including technical calculations and equipmentselection.

  • Systems Engineering & Integration: Coordinate and integrate multiple rail systems, support requirements management, interface coordination, and system testing activities.

  • Rail Control Systems: Supportthe design and implementation ofsignalling, train control, and communications systems.

  • Rolling Stock: Support the design, testing, and commissioning of trains and transit systems while helping ensure they meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.

About you
  • Newgraduate with aBachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (graduating in 2027).

  • Strong interest in learning and exploring new challenges, particularly in rail infrastructure, rail systems, track design, construction, and operations.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in relevant industry-standard software and engineering tools.

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Currently holds a Valid Canadian driver’s license (if applicable)
