Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide full-scope nursing care in the Neurosciences unit at University of Alberta Hospital, focusing on acute neuroscience issues such as stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries within a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver safe, patient- and family-centered care, utilize nursing processes, and uphold CLPNA registration while advancing through Neuroscience Orientation in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA/CLPNA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high quality patient and family centred nursing care within neuroscience units.
• Lead and collaborate within an interprofessional team to deliver care.
