AgeCare South Terrace in Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a casual, on-site role. The LPN will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care, ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate services aligned with provincial standards.

The successful candidate will perform assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, and coordinate care with physicians and providers, while maintaining timely

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable province.
• Experience in senior care or long-term care is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification current.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care team using person-centered approach.
• Maintain resident assessments, care plans, and documentation with updates.
• Implement and evaluate care plans; adjust as needed.
• Participate in resident care conferences and scheduling.
• Assist with transitions including move-ins, discharges, and transfers.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and regulations.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians and providers.
• Delegate tasks to unregulated care providers as appropriate.
• Respond to changes in resident conditions and emergencies.
• Support infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
