Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Acute Care experience within the last two years required; however, equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Successful completion of CLPNA modules - Standards of Practice on Restricted Activities and Advanced Practice as well as certifications in required competencies.
• Direct IV Administration and PICC Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include 2 years recent experience working in an Emergency Department.
• Experience with Connect Care is highly desirable.
• Certification in ACLS, PALS, CTAS, and/or Lead II/ECG interpretation will be considered an asset.
