WINDOW MART in Edmonton is seeking a network system administrator to coordinate access to computer networks, install software, and manage LANs/WANs and servers. The role is on-site at 11474 Winterburn Road NW, Edmonton, AB. It offers morning and day shifts, with full-time hours (40 hours/week) and an hourly rate of CAD 38.67. Starts as soon as possible.
The candidate should have a college-level certificate or diploma (3 months to <1 year) and 2–3 years of experience. This permanent position requires working on-site with no remote option.
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
Tasks: Coordinate access and use of computer networks. Install software. Install web server hardware and software. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks. Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records. Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
