Job summary

Sobkow Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our Manitoba MSP team.

You will manage client networks, servers, cloud environments, and security systems, ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing IT operations. Responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD), monitoring performance, solving complex issues, and delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in networked environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support client network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPNs.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Monitor network and system performance and proactively address issues.

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to maintain secure, stable, and high-performing IT environments while delivering exceptional technical support and service.

Position Summary

As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of client networks, servers, cloud environments, and security systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support client network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPNs.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Monitor network and system performance and proactively address issues.
  • Deploy and maintain cybersecurity solutions and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot network, server, workstation, and cloud-related issues.
  • Configure and support Windows Server environments.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Document client environments, configurations, and support procedures.Participate in on-site and remote support activities as required.
  • Work closely with clients to understand business needs and recommend technology solutions.
Qualifications
Required
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewall management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
  • Experience working for an MSP or IT consulting firm.
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, Server Administration).
  • Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or other networking certifications.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Cybersecurity experience and knowledge of security best practices.
