Job description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office at a minimum of 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead and implement initiatives to achieve business objectives.
• Decompose business requirements into detailed design specifications and code.
• Design solutions, write code, perform unit testing, develop documentation, and facilitate delivery.
• Assess impact of design decisions on performance, schedule, budget, and quality; recommend alternatives as needed.
• Lead meetings with business subject matter experts, plan development, define requirements, and monitor performance.
• Build supportable, scalable solutions aligned with our asset reuse goals.
• Automate and streamline technological processes to improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends through professional participation and learning.

Required qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Strong experience in C#, .NET 6 and 8, .NET Framework; knowledge of modern design patterns; familiarity with asynchronous programming, Entity Framework, microservices, front-end frameworks like Angular, Windows Forms, feature flag implementation.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Experience with testing frameworks, error handling, logging, and vulnerability fixing.
• Source Code & DevOps: Experience with GitHub, trunk-based development, CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Collaboration & Mentoring: Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies; experience with JIRA, Confluence, HP ALM.
• Business/Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial applications, multi-layer bank applications, and peripheral integration for financial transactions.
