Job summary

The Naval Procurement Coordinator role at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) supports naval fleets by coordinating supplies, managing financial requirements, and preparing procurement data.

You will handle NPf and Public assets, conduct research, and draft procurement materials to enable timely, compliant acquisitions for the fleet.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline with some experience in asset management/administration.
  • Experience applying policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and use communication tools and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities for Naval Fleets and ensure delivery timelines.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support procurement decisions.
  • Draft procurement materials and correspondence as needed.
  • Serve as supply account holder for Non-Public Funds and Public assets.

THE ROLE

The Naval Procurement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination, delivery, and evaluation of supplies and services for the Naval Fleets. The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing financial requirements, serving as the supply account holder for Non-Public Funds (NPF) and Public assets, and coordinating supply delivery. Additionally, the Procurement Coordinator will collect, analyze, and prepare data and reports related to Naval procurement, while also researching and drafting procurement materials and correspondence.

Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licences
  • College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline and some years of experience in asset management/administration or in a related field

Other Information

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. This may include working in a warehouse environment.

  • Perform heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. 50lbs/23kg or more)
  • Sedentary work, primarily performed at a desk and/or in front of a computer screen.
  • As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.

Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs.

Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
