Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) in Ottawa is seeking an Administrative Assistant to deliver essential administrative services including research, data entry, record keeping and preparation of presentations and reports. Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and French (essential).

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Administrative Assistant, you will deliver the administrative services such as research, data entry and compilation, record keeping, creating presentations and reports, photocopying and correspondence. You will prepare travel arrangements, travel claims, and expense reports. You will prepare and organize second language training testing. The Administrative Assistant will administer agendas, scheduling appointments and meetings and preparing documentation. You will organize material for conferences and meetings, managing logistics, travel and expenditures. You will prepare information for conferences and meetings, maintain minutes and follow‑up action items.

This is a hands‑on role, with lots of interaction with colleagues throughout the organization. If you are passionate about human resources, understand the value of people, and are detailed‑oriented and organized, this is the opportunity for you.

Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma

Experience
  • In office administration
  • In data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
  • In maintaining filing systems In drafting correspondence and reports
  • In invoice processing
  • In organizing meetings, events and conferences
  • In transcribing notes and minutes taking
  • In making travel arrangements and travel claims procedures
  • In preparing presentation materials
