Job summary

Jobtailor in Victoria, Canada seeks a Naval Architecture leader to manage resources and guide projects from requirements analysis through deployment and testing. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in people management, a Naval Architecture degree (Master’s preferred), and strong English communication; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical program in Naval Architecture.
• Experience with SOLAS/LSA/ISO/IACS standards.
• 2+ years as a people or resource manager.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Eligible for Canadian access to controlled tech information and NATO Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource management to the Naval Architecture team.
• Lead and support Naval Architecture across project lifecycles.
• Coordinate resources for bids, projects and products.
• Plan team workload short, medium and long term.
• Develop team skills, recruitment and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, Classification Society and Naval Ship Code standards.
• Develop technical proposals and cost estimates for customers.
• Mentor and coach staff; foster continuous improvement.
