Job summary

Adaptive Marine Solutions, Inc. (AMS) is seeking a Junior Naval Architect Designer in Ottawa, ON and/or St. John’s, NL to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include developing 3D production models for ship structures in ShipConstructor for new construction and refit projects, and interpreting technical drawings. Qualifications include a bachelor’s or associate degree and at least 1 year in the marine industry, with proficiency in ShipConstructor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of marine industry experience, with demonstrated expertise in structural modeling and drafting.
  • Proficiency in ShipConstructor is required.
  • Familiarity with Aveva E3D or PDMS is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a shipyard is an asset.

Job Description

  • Eligibility for enrollment into Controlled Goods Program
  • Eligible for Canadian Security Status (Secret or above) – Current valid screening is preferred
