Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales operations across multiple channels and territories. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth within a highly competitive and regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals across all domestic and international markets).
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with key decision-makers, distributors, dealers, and end-users.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of national, regional, local retailers and international accounts.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of various channels of trade including National/Regional sporting goods, buying groups, farm & home co-op, and 2-step distribution.
  • (Preferred) Experience with Canada and International accounts
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement targeted campaigns, enhance trade show presence, and execute effective product promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, provincial, and international regulations regarding the sale and distribution of ammunition and bullets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback/needs to guide strategic decisions.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights for senior management.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and logistics teams to support efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction via the S&OP (Sales & Operations) process.
  • Develop and maintain productive partnerships with key industry associations and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop state & regional sales representatives to drive performance and achieve organizational objectives.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the ammunition, firearms, or outdoor sporting goods industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of the ammunition and bullet marketplace, including product types, regulations, and customer segments.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Experience in international sales and familiarity with global import/export regulations related to ammunition and bullets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%-60% within the U.S., Canada, and internationally.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and travel internationally.
