Job summary

Sysco Canada is seeking a National Category Manager to own the growth strategy for a key category. You will oversee national vendors, negotiate programs, monitor performance, and align product and brand strategies to drive financial results.

You will mentor Regional Category Managers, lead market analysis, and partner with supply chain and pricing teams to optimize assortments and service levels. Travel 20–25% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years merchandising or category management experience in retail or foodservice.
• Experience in beverage category is an asset.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct category strategy and end-to-end category management process.
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements and programs.
• Collaborate with regional teams to optimize assortments and market execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive service level improvements.
• Partner with pricing and product teams on growth initiatives.
