WIS International has an opportunity for a National Accounts Manager (12 Month Contract)!

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales in Canada, the Account Manager facilitates the development of positive and enduring partnerships with representatives of current WIS International customers. The Account Manager is responsible for identifying and defining our customers’ service requirements and coordinating with our operational management teams and IT to ensure that we provide exceptional service.

Additional goals include expanding individual account sales volumes and profitability, strengthening customer relationships with WIS, and increasing market share in Canada.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a single point of contact for assigned accounts to ensure effective service delivery between WIS and our customers, including resolving operational and/or service issues.
  • Provide guidance to Canadian Operations and IT by assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of customer requirements, as well as review and approval of customer procedures and software programs.
  • Determine current and future account requirements by auditing and reporting on customer options, identifying key customer business issues, and developing solutions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic planning to achieve company targets related to market share, revenue, and profitability for assigned accounts.
  • Utilize various computer applications to develop inventory schedules, billing instructions, perform cost accounting analysis, create financial projections, and maintain accurate revenue forecasts for assigned accounts.
  • Work effectively as part of the Canadian National Accounts team, and develop effective working relationships with Canadian Operations and IT.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic operating plans by gathering information on customers, prospects, and competitors, and participate in the development of new business opportunities through the sale of new services and the sourcing and development of new accounts.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related experience.
  • Experience in the retail or retail services sector, with 2-3 years’ experience in account management.
  • Experience with computer reporting applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to anticipate service delivery issues and manage issues that may arise between customers and operations, especially during inventory counts.
  • Ability to independently resolve conflicts involving inventory schedules, service delivery, fee structures, etc., and initiate timely corrective actions; flexibility to respond to calls resolving issues during early morning hours, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to research and stay knowledgeable about business climate, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and factors affecting assigned accounts and WIS.
  • Capability to perform financial analysis based on customer trends (inventory levels, product mix, store formats) and process changes to develop pricing proposals that generate acceptable returns to WIS.
  • Some travel and overnight stays required.
