Job summary

Stream-Flo Group is seeking a Material Handler to pull and prepare materials for work orders, unload and inspect incoming goods, and assist with shipping logistics. The role requires forklift and crane experience, strong organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will maintain orderly inventory, ensure safety compliance, and promptly handle paperwork. Preference for 1-2 years related experience; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized, labeled goods; keep areas clean.
• Check picked material matches work orders and record details.
• Ensure safety procedures and forklift operations are followed.
• Process paperwork like pick lists and packing slips promptly.
• Flag shortages or delays to Purchasing/Manufacturing.
• Comply with all standards and Stream-Flo policies.

Key position functions include:

• Pull all material required for work orders and place into proper locations per schedule priority and / or instruction.
• Unload, sort, inspect and put away incoming material as per receiving instructions.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
• Perform uncrating duties for overseas shipments.
• Maintain, organize, and label goods, while keeping areas clean and orderly
• Check to ensure material picked work orders is correct before being released.
• Record required information by pick list or RF gun which may include lot numbers, serial numbers, heat numbers, quantities, etc.
• Ensure processes, lifting devices and forklift operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
• Ensure proper and timely flow of paperwork for pick lists, purchase orders, packing slips, etc.
• Advise Purchasing and Manufacturing of material shortages or delivery delays.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards / procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Stream Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:

• 1-2 years of previous related experience is preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize and possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Internal forklift and crane experience.
• Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP would be an asset.
