Job summary

Weatherford in Canada is seeking a Measurement While Drilling Specialist to operate advanced MWD tools, deliver real-time downhole data, and work closely with Directional Drillers to ensure accurate well surveying and monitoring.

You will rig up and rig down equipment, test and troubleshoot MWD gear, and maintain paperwork and final reports. A valid driver’s license and willingness for long deployments (20-day rotations) are required; accommodation is provided at rig sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in teams and supervise others.
• Willingness to work extended deployments (≥20 days).
• Valid driver's license.
• Rig knowledge is an asset.
• Accommodation provided at rig location.

Responsibilities

• Operate MWD tools and provide real-time drilling data.
• Test, maintain, and troubleshoot MWD equipment.
• Rig up and rig down equipment at well sites.
• Measure tubulars and perform OTF measurements.
• Assemble BHA with torques, tubulars, and thread sizes.
• Collaborate with Directional Drillers to verify survey data.
• Complete paperwork and produce final well reports.
• Generate GammaRay and Annulus Pressure plots.
• Transport and maintain company equipment.
• Accommodation provided during deployment.
