Job summary

Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, Canada seeks a Supervisor to lead front‑of‑house staff on site in Toronto. You will ensure top visitor experiences, oversee daily operations, and work closely with management to maintain high standards.

The role reports to the Visitor Services Manager and starts November 4, 2026. This casual position offers CA$29.00 per hour, plus in lieu of vacation at 4% and 4.5% benefits, with eligibility for Attractions Ontario and Toronto Attractions Council benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a customer service supervisory role.
• At least one year driving sales via team motivation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, attractions, or cultural sector.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift light objects.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise front-of-house staff and be the main contact.
• Ensure visitor experience, housekeeping, security and appearance standards.
• Maintain accurate and accessible visitor information.
• Handle opening/closing procedures and cash, retail duties.
• Motivate team to deliver service and protect artwork.
• Assign daily tasks and break schedules; be available for questions.
• Coordinate with Visitor Services Manager and staff scheduling feedback.
• Assist with ticketing and point-of-sale systems and data collection.
