Job summary

Wheatland County, AB seeks a Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver municipal water, wastewater and utility infrastructure projects. You will work with engineers, contractors, and the public to ensure timely delivery and compliance with County policies.

Ideal candidates will have strong planning, scheduling, and communication skills, with experience in municipal projects. Residency within Alberta and licensure or designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure is an asset.
• Designated CET/RET, P.Eng. or equivalent preferred.
• Registered with Alberta professional engineering/technologist bodies (APEGGA/ASET) preferred.
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement documents for services and goods for multiple departments.
• Collect quotes for goods and services across departments.
• Assist in bid review and award recommendations.
• Lead or participate in design, pre-bid, public engagements, site reviews and preconstruction meetings.
• Review inspector notes and coordinate with contractors on schedule and documentation.
• Monitor project schedule and prepare periodic reports for County management.
• Coordinate project status communications for the public with Communications.
• Ensure project records and corporate documents are maintained.
• Conduct Construction Completion and Final Acceptance inspections for new infrastructure.
• Support development of Transportation and Utility Asset Management Plans.
