Region of Waterloo seeks a seasoned civil engineer to plan and design roads, sewers, watermains and related infrastructure for regional construction projects. You will produce detailed drawings, quantity estimates, and 3D models to support asset management and contract administration.

The role requires a 3-year civil engineering credential and at least 5 years of experience, with eligibility for OACETT at the technologist level.

Qualifications

• A 3-year college diploma/degree in civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Eligibility for membership in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) at the technologist level.

Responsabilités

• Plans and designs roads, sewers, watermains and related municipal infrastructure for regional construction.
• Prepares detailed design drawings and quantity estimates for contract administration.
• Provides 3D models to support asset management databases and project management.
• Creates design support materials and presents options for project teams and public review.
• Collaborates with GIS team to maintain asset databases and datasets.
• Ensures drawings comply with engineering standards and project requirements.
