Job summary

Shannex - Neill/Medley in Fredericton, NB is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to cover housekeeping, laundry, and food service for residents with memory and health issues. Shifts run 7 days a week from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role requires the ability to multitask, lift up to 20 lbs, and stand for extended periods.

Reliable transportation and holiday availability are needed. The job includes housekeeping, assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing while maintaining kitchen

Qualifications

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management.
