Job summary

Compass-Group in New Brunswick is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support housekeeping, laundry and food service for residents with memory and health issues. The role covers seven days with shifts from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, requiring multi-tasking and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Candidates should have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent; prior housekeeping/food service experience is an asset, and healthcare experience is preferred.

Covering areas of Housekeeping, Laundry and Food Service to residents with memory and Health issues. We operate 7 days a week with hours between 6am-6:30 pm. Must be able to multi task, lift up to 20lbs, stand for extended periods. Must have reliable transportation and be available for shift work when scheduled, including holidays.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
