Job summary

Subway is seeking a Multi-Unit Manager in Ontario to lead four core areas: operations coordination, training and coaching of restaurant managers, planning business goals, and teamwork across locations.

You will train shift managers, maintain staffing, ensure compliance with standards, and support marketing initiatives while driving sales through data from provided reports. This hands-on role requires strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and develop staff.
• Proficient with computer systems and POS tools; willingness to work in a fast-paced setting.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as a Multi-Unit Manager will focus on four main things:

• Coordinating and supporting all activities within assigned geographic area
• Training, coaching and supporting managers
• Creating plans and setting business goals for your assigned restaurants
• Being a team player

Key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Training shift managers, assistant managers and managers on all aspects of operational excellence
• Developing and maintaining staffing levels for all managers and assistant managers
• Providing leadership to all managers and staff to ensure compliance with operating standards
• Champion staff in efforts to achieve sales goals with the use of provided reports highlighting any opportunities available
• Supporting local and national marketing initiatives

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

Experience: 3-5 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with great interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Basic math and accounting with strong analytical/decision-making skills are imperative. Demonstrated ability to hire, coach and develop staff is critical. Computer knowledge is essential.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
