About the Role:
We are looking for a well-rounded MSP Service Technician with expertise in cloud services, server management, networking, and security. This role requires a strong technical leader who can collaborate with the team to develop solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage multiple environments efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the team to design and implement IT solutions for clients.
- Provide end-to-end support for cloud-based and on-prem server environments.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Azure, AWS, and Office 365 solutions.
- Manage virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking, and firewall security components.
- Implement, manage, and monitor firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
- Server Management, Desktop Management, Mobile Device Management.
- Onboarding and Termination of Users, Resolving Performance Issues.
- Assess security risks, apply best practices, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Lead technical projects, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to process improvements.
- Communicate with clients, understand their needs, and provide proactive IT security and infrastructure solutions.
- Travel to client sites when needed; a valid driver’s license is required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in an MSP or IT services environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, (Linux Bonus).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Advanced knowledge of firewall security, VPNs, VLANs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Hands-on experience with firewall brands such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Sophos.
- Networking skills (routing, switching, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP).
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team and lead technical discussions.
- Serve as a Business Partner for solving issues related to computers, laptops, and servers.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) for client communication and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations as needed.
- Leadership or team lead experience is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) are a bonus.
