Position Summary

Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, one of Canada's largest academic medical imaging departments! With over 750,000 exams annually, we set the standard for clinical excellence. Our digital technology and dedicated team of over 700 staff and 90 radiologists focus on patient care and image quality. As a member of TeamJDMI, you will work with state-of-the-art technology and a team committed to patient care and imaging quality, supported by continuous education and quality initiatives.

Duties

• Perform MRI procedures as per protocols
• Follow MRI safety standards
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Document procedures and results
• Assist in patient care
• Participate in meetings, training, research, and quality programs
• Contribute to policy improvements
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies
• Perform cross-site responsibilities including call and shift work
• Overtime shifts may be available

Qualifications

• CAMRT certification with current membership preferred
• Registered with CMRITO, with required continuing education
• Completion of BCLS Level II
• Courses in Cross-sectional Anatomy and Contrast Injection
• Relevant clinical education or equivalent
• Recent clinical MRI experience preferred
• Patient sensitivity and collaborative practice skills
• Judgment for safety and quality
• Ability to work accurately in high-volume settings
• Commitment to learning and quality improvement
• Good attendance and performance record
• Strong technical skills and MRI safety knowledge
• Effective time management
