Position Summary
Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging department in Canada! With 750,000+ exams annually, we set the standard for clinical excellence. Our cutting-edge digital technology and dedicated team of 700+ staff and 90 specialized radiologists prioritize patient care and exceptional image quality. The JDMI is committed to ongoing education and quality assurance initiatives and is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and the Michener Institute of Education.

As a valued member of TeamJDMI, you will have the opportunity to be trained in Level three CT at multiple UHN sites.

Duties

• Performs Computed Tomography (CT) procedures, some General Radiography (when needed), and digital quality assurance
• Communicates with team members and management personnel
• Participates in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Registration with the CMRITO
• Previous general imaging experience coupled withrecent experience (within the last 5 years) in computed tomography
• One (1) year recent experience in related area of responsibility
• Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in a challenging situation
• Demonstrated strong technical skills and image quality
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and pathology
• Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
• Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a supportive team environment
• Excellent problem solving and recognition skills
• Commitment to continuing education
• Excellent teaching skills
• Demonstrated good work performance and attendance history
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Previous Level 3 CT experience or willing to be trained up to a Level 3 CT, preferred
• Membership with the CAMRT, preferred
• Completion of certified injection course, preferred
• Completion or currently enrolled in the CTIC offered by the CAMRT, preferred
