Job summary

Capital Movers & Storage in Kingston is seeking movers/labour to load and unload household or office goods, with regular Monday–Friday shifts at 7:45 am and occasional evenings/weekends. Starting wage is $19.05/hour, with variable hours per week based on job volume.

You will assist drivers and a team of movers/packers, support truck upkeep, and participate in training and certification opportunities. A probation period and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Assist drivers and work with a team of movers and packers to load/unload, pack/unpack household or office goods.
• Regular shifts are Monday through Friday, 7:45 am start time with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend shifts.
• Variable hours through week based on job volume.
• Three-month probation period.
• Background check required upon offer of employment, additional security clearances as projects require.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of household goods shipments, at residences and warehouse
• Assist with loading/unloading of appliances and fine furniture for commercial deliveries
• Assist with packing/unpacking of breakable items
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with truck/trailer upkeep including folding of moving blankets, breaking down of packing material, washing vehicle and equipment as required

What’s the job?
