Job summary

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is seeking a friendly Host for Ted’s Pub. You will greet guests, manage seating and waitlists, verify IDs, take-out orders, and share information about the pub and resort.

You will help guests learn the menu and events, work with servers and kitchen, operate the POS system, and uphold safety and service standards in a fast-paced mountain environment. Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable, and confident when engaging with guests.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• POS system knowledge is a plus.
• Hospitality/customer service experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage seating at Ted’s Pub.
• Check government-issued IDs to verify age requirements.
• Maintain waitlist and seating chart for balanced server sections.
• Take accurate take-out orders and communicate with kitchen.
• Operate POS system and handle payments with accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness at host stand and entrance areas.
• Provide information about menu, events, and resort activities.
