Job summary

Mount Washington Alpine Resort is seeking a Bartender for Ted's Bar and Grill, seasonal Winter position. You’ll be at the center of the après-ski atmosphere, pouring pints, mixing cocktails, and delivering excellent guest service in a fast-paced pub setting.

You’ll work outdoors in a mountain resort environment, with a focus on knowledge of local beers on tap, cocktails, and guest satisfaction. This role requires evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods, with a lively team and seasonal

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience in a busy bar or pub setting required.
  • Strong knowledge of beer styles and enthusiasm for local craft breweries.
  • Experience preparing cocktails and serving wine and spirits.

  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the 12 local beers on tap and confidently making recommendations.

Hourly wage: $18.75 -$20.00

Job Summary:

As a Bartender at Ted's Bar and Grill, you'll be at the center of the après-ski atmosphere. With 12 Vancouver Island beers on tap and a lively ski crowd, you'll pour pints, mix cocktails, and keep the bar running smoothly while delivering excellent guest service.

Cleanliness, product knowledge, and customer service are the foundation of this role. Guests expect a spotless bar and a bartender who knows their stuff - whether it's craft beer, cocktails, or what's happening on the mountain. Role Responsibilities:
  • Providing friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests in the pub
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of the 12 local beers on tap and confidently making recommendations
  • Pouring draft beer and serving wine and spirits according to established standards
  • Mixing cocktails consistently and accurately
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar always
  • Treating cleanliness as a top priority and ensuring the bar is always guest-ready
  • Engaging with guests and creating a welcoming après-ski atmosphere
  • Handling cash and operating the POS system accurately and efficiently
  • Monitoring alcohol consumption and always practicing responsible alcohol service
  • Assisting servers by preparing drinks for the floor quickly and accurately
  • Maintaining knowledge of pub events, resort activities, and other mountain departments
  • Answering guest questions and promoting the full Mount Washington Alpine Resort experience
  • Following all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
  • Restocking beverages, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies as required
  • Pitching in wherever needed - because teamwork makes the mountain run smoothly
  • Upholding high standards of guest service, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
  • Able to perform repetitive reaching, lifting, carrying, stocking, cleaning, and bending tasks
  • Ability to safely work around glassware, wet floors, beverage equipment, and busy service areas
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods
