Mt. Washington Alpine Resort in Mount Washington, BC is hiring bike guides for the summer season. Full-time and part-time roles offer the chance to lead fun, safe mountain bike outings and tailor lessons for guests of all ages.

Ideal candidates are avid mountain bikers with PMBIA or GSMBC certification, strong communication, and a passion for sharing the stoke while delivering excellent customer service and working across departments as needed.

Your Opportunity:

As a bike park guide, you will strive to deliver a positive mountain biking experience to guests of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead fun, varied, safe and informative mountain bike outings

  • Cater lessons to all guests, incorporating a wide variety of mountain biking tips and techniques

  • Assist guests with rental equipment selection and fit

  • Set up and pack up biking equipment, proactively assisting guests

  • Lead Alpine Adventure kids camps for children aged 7-12 with activities mainly revolved around biking and hiking around the resort.

  • Check bikes regularly and record maintenance as required

  • Assist with bike rentals and repairs, keeping accurate maintenance and safety logs

  • Present a professional appearance and attitude as well as maintain an excellent standard of customer service

  • Clean up daily and ensure the shop is always secure and properly maintained to meet guest expectations

  • Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other departments, within reason, as requested by your manager according to training you have been given.

  • Adhere to all operational and safety procedures, including all WorkSafeBC directives, WHMIS regulations and Resort policies.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • An avid mountain biker, craving adventure and the ability to “share the stoke” with our guests.

  • PMBIA or GSMBC certification required.

  • Experience riding the Bike Park at Mount Washington Alpine Resort.

  • Confident riding at trail speed on technical, intermediate terrain, including green, blue and “light” black trails.

  • Approachable, welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, and punctual

  • Able to effectively communicate with guests of all ages, management, and other staff

  • Able to work well within a team and maintain effective working relationships

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with current mountain bike developments and skills

  • Able to work independently on your own initiative
