Job summary

First National Financial is seeking a Manager and Team Lead for Third Party Residential Underwriting-NBBP in Montreal, QC. You will lead a team of Mortgage Underwriters, assess applications, and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Reporting to the Director and Team Lead, you will drive service excellence, recruit and develop staff, and partner with brokers and external stakeholders to meet targets.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years mortgage underwriting experience required.
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Completion of Mortgage Agent Course.
• Fluency in written and spoken French is required.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with mortgage brokers.
• Manages capacity and workload of the team.
• Makes lending decisions within policy limits.
• Provides coaching, training and performance feedback.
• Generates management reports and tracks performance.
