Job summary

MaxPeople HR is seeking a Scheduler for modular construction projects in Hamilton, Ontario. You will develop and maintain detailed production schedules using MS Project, coordinating between engineering, procurement, and production teams to drive on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in production scheduling in construction or manufacturing, strong MS Project skills, and the ability to read drawings. This role offers health benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or coordination within construction or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Project (required), including critical path analysis and resource loading.
• Engineering, construction management, or related diploma/degree.
• Architectural Technology background is an asset.
• Strong understanding of modular construction processes, sequencing, and plant operations.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills across departments.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with Fieldwire/Procore/Bluebeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules in MS Project for modular builds.
• Sequence and coordinate production activities to optimize workflow and milestones.
• Collaborate with production, project management, and procurement to align schedules with materials and labour.
• Monitor labour resources and analyze variances to improve productivity and forecasting.
• Update schedules reflecting progress, changes, and impacts.
• Generate and distribute schedule reports to stakeholders.
• Track change orders and their impact on the schedule.
