Mobility Lead Developer Technology Lead - CAN

Infosys is seeking a Mobility Tech Lead.

This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. The role involves creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality code for modules, leading validation for various testing phases, and supporting activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required Qualifications:

1. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Calgary, Alberta or willing to relocate. Travel may be required.
2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience can substitute for each year of education.
3. Highly experienced Android developer with over 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Java, Android build system, and experience with Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Android development tools and technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Room Database, Retrofit, Firebase.
• Strong object-oriented design skills, including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of memory management and concurrency.
• Understanding of Android internals, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices for building high-performance, low-footprint apps.
• Experience building Android apps from scratch with a focus on architecture, familiar with MVP, MVVM, VIPER, etc.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Experience with third-party libraries, APIs, web services, such as Dagger, RxJava, Retrofit, GSON, Jackson.
• Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito.

Estimated annual compensation range for Ontario: $89,004 to $115,491

The role involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Communication via telephone, email, or face-to-face is required. Extensive travel may be needed based on client and project needs.
