Job summary

Midland Transport in Brampton, ON seeks a Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic with a 310T license to diagnose, repair, and service heavy-duty trucks and trailers on-site. You will travel to client locations, inspect engines, brakes, and electrical systems, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years post-certification experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field while maintaining

Qualifications

  • Must have a 310T Truck & Coach Technician license.
  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to different locations to diagnose, service, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty equipment in the field.
  • Complete routine maintenance and preventative service on engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
  • Identify required parts and materials for repairs.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding vehicle conditions and service recommendations.
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in a safe, organized manner.
  • Report non-conforming situations and safety concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.

Midland Transport is currently seeking skilled and Mobile Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Brampton, ON. The successful candidate will hold a 310T license and have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently and providing on-site service to customers.

Shift: Monday- Friday - (7am - 4pm)

  • Communicate professionally with drivers regarding vehicle conditions, repair requirements, and service recommendations.
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe manner.
  • Report non-conforming situations and safety concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Truck and Coach Technician 310T License.
  • Two or more years of relevant, hands-on experience post-certification is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems; experience working on trailers is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time while working in the field.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively when required.
