Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile Technician to maintain and troubleshoot building systems across multiple sites in Ontario. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, assist with installations, and estimate time/materials for repairs while ensuring energy efficiency and safety compliance.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel 25–30% within Ontario. G2 gas fitting license is ideal.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or trade school with 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; 25–30% travel within Ontario across different sites.
  • G2 gas-fitting license would be ideal and preferred.
  • Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs).
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards; basic problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and inquisitive mindset; basic math for percentages and discounts.

  • Impact through clearly defined duties and tasks described in detail.
  • Deliver output by following procedures under close supervision and guidance.

About The Role

Join CBRE as a Mobile Technician and play a hands-on role in keeping client facilities running at their best. You'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient operations across multiple sites.   • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities.

  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver’s License required.
  • 25-30% travel required within Ontario across different sites. Overnight stays as required.
  • G2 Gas fitting license would be ideal and preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
