Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required.
• Two/Three year college diploma in Developmental Services Worker or Behaviour Science Technician preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in educational setting with behavioral needs, Autism, and Developmental Delays.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs observations to inform program decisions.
• Collaborates with school and system teams to develop support strategies.
• Provides concentrated support to schools to reinforce behavior management methods.
• Assists with program delivery and strategy implementation to stabilize the classroom environment.
• Prepares visual schedules, PECs, and structured teaching tasks.
• Communicates with system staff and other professionals regarding progress and refinement of programs.
• Participates in Student Success Team meetings and contributes when required.
• Gathers and maintains data/records on student progress and program implementation.
• Models inclusion and universal design approaches in the classroom.
• Engages in professional development for software, devices, and system training.
