Job summary

Commissionaires Ottawa Group in Victoria is seeking Mobile Patrol drivers to safeguard client locations across Vancouver Island and the Yukon region. Earn CAD 22.25–25.11 per hour with full-time shifts of varied timing, reporting to the Mobile Manager, and comprehensive training opportunities.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, site security checks, alarm responses, and detailed reporting. Must hold BC security licence and BC driver’s licence with a clean abstract, and be able to

Qualifications

• Valid BC security workers licence required.
• Valid BC driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract required.
• Excellent problem solving skills and professional report writing.
• Work under pressure and have a calm demeanor.
• Proficient at operating equipment such as cell phones and two-way radios.
• Able to work independently, especially in the evenings and overnight.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Mobile Patrol motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations.
• Conducting security checks at client sites according to directives, standards and post orders.
• Utilize company cell phones, two-way radios and Tracktik phone app.
• Conducting alarm response to client sites as needed.
• Conducting House Watch patrol if necessary.
• Attending lone worker sites to check on workers when requested.
• Ensuring incident and shift reports are completed including Run Sheets, Vehicle Inspection reports, Key Muster reports, Tracktik reports, Alarm reports and Inventory reports.
• Reporting for shifts on time, and maintaining proper dress and deportment at all times.
• Reporting any unsafe incidents, practices and/or issues.
• Conducting vehicle checks at start of shifts and ensuring any issues are reported accurately.
• Being respectful towards tools/equipment and ensuring proper key control at all times.
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and washed as required.
• Maintaining high standard of work ethic and professionalism.
• Promoting a respectful workplace by displaying a courteous, professional attitude.
• Keeping management aware of any unusual incidents.
• Assisting in the training of new Patrol Drivers, and setting a good example at all times.
• Completing any additional assignment as instructed by the Client Service Manager for Mobile Patrols.
