Job summary

Discovery is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Reliability & Planning Coordinator to join Kidd Operations. Reporting to the Superintendent, Mobile Maintenance, you will ensure planned availability to meet the mine plan and budgeted costs.

The role requires promoting collaboration between Operations, Planning and Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement across maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership capacity.
• Minimum 10 years in underground maintenance experience.
• Trade Certification or degree Mechanical Engineering/Technology would be considered an asset.
• Up to date technical knowledge and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate to deliver planned availability meeting the mine plan within budget.
• Foster collaboration between Operations, Planning and Maintenance teams.
• Promote proactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance to high standards.
• Work with warehousing, purchasing and suppliers to meet material/service delivery.

The Position

Reporting to the Superintendent, Mobile Maintenance, the Coordinators’ primary objective is to provide the planned availability to deliver on the mine plan for all processes to meet the budgeted tonnage at or below budgeted costs. The ideal candidate will promote a constructive, can do, collaboration effort between Operations, Planning and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and full entitlement, to deliver on the weekly, monthly, quarterly production plans.

The Coordinator will foster a culture across departments of doing the basics well ensuring Proactive/Predictive/Preventative maintenance activities are executed in a safe, efficient, timely manner and to high-quality standard. As well, keeping with our vision for continuous improvement, will champion working with key stakeholders to facilitate investigations of significant or repeat functional failures in order to understand root cause and provide solutions to prevent reoccurrences. Working with warehousing, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure materials, services or repairable deliver on expectations to support the business through sustainable improvements within those processes.

Skills and Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive total compensation package including:

• Annual compensation of CAD$104,000 to CAD$130,000.
