Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto hosts the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team (MCIT) RN, partnering with a Toronto Police Service officer to respond to calls about persons in crisis. The RN delivers rapid on-site mental health assessment, crisis intervention and connects individuals to the most appropriate hospital or community supports.

This role requires registration as an RN, a baccalaureate nursing degree, current CPR/BCLS, MCIT Level 1, with Level 2/CCIS preferred, and CPI certification or

Qualificações

• Registered Nurse with current certificate of registration.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current BCLS/CPR certification and MCIT training.
• MCIT Level 1 completed; Level 2/CCIS preferred.
• CPI certification or equivalent within six months of hire.
• PMH Nursing certification preferred; fluency a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt on-site mental health/crisis assessment and intervention.
• Refer to hospital or community services and supports as needed.
• Liaise with hospital resources and community partners.
• Participate in outreach with police and stakeholders.
• Work in accordance with Ontario standards and legislation.
