Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mental Health Mobile Crisis Response Team on a temporary part-time basis. You will respond to crisis calls, perform clinical assessments, manage medications, and coordinate discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BScN preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Post diploma certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing is an asset.
• Proven ability to conduct nursing assessments and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of crisis theory and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone crisis calls and referrals.
• Provide clinical assessments including physical health, medications and side effects, allergies and interactions, risk assessments, and collaboration with care teams.
• Coordinate care, patient and family education, and discharge planning.
• Liaise with police, EMS, hospitals, and community partners as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
