Job summary

Orica is seeking a Trainee Operator - MMU in Quintette BC to join our bulk explosive delivery team. The role operates under supervision until competent, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The position travels 90%+ to regional mines (Willow Creek, Wolverine, Brule) and follows a 14 days on / 14 days off schedule. Compensation includes hourly pay and per diem, with housing and transportation provided.

Qualifications

• Must complete regulatory paperwork accurately.
• Reliable and dependable with a flexible approach.
• Entry-level computer skills (Internet and Windows).
• Willingness to travel 90%+ and operate on a 14/14 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate MMU under supervision until competent.
• Handle and store materials per SDS requirements.
• Support safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain training records and complete internal procedures.
• Assist with other sites as needed within competence.
