Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proficient Structural Engineer to join our team in Kimberley, focusing on design and analysis of mining structures. You will ensure safety and integrity of mine facilities and processing plants, while working with a multidisciplinary team on complex projects.

The role requires 5+ years in structural design for industrial/mining environments, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with STAAD.Pro/SAP2000 and CAD tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years in structural design for industrial/mining projects.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural components for mining facilities (headgears, conveyors, crushers, processing plants).
Assess existing mining infrastructure integrity and propose repairs or upgrades.
Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations and standards.
Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculation reports.
Collaborate with mining engineers, geologists, and other specialists on integrated solutions.
Conduct site visits for inspection and verification.
