Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Structural Engineer - Mining & Industrial to join our Canadian mine infrastructure team. You will lead inspection and asset integrity work, perform field assessments at underground/open pit mines, and mentor junior staff while expanding our market in mining.

Qualifications include a civil/structural engineering degree, 6+ years’ experience, P.Eng. eligibility, and proficiency with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of structural engineering experience with asset management and remediation focus.
• Willingness to perform hands-on field inspections in challenging environments.
• Registered or eligible for P.Eng. in BC/AB/SK within 6 months.
• Experience with load paths, corrosion, concrete degradation, and welding checks.
• Proficiency in used software: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering tasks from scoping to design and delivery.
• Perform field inspections at mining and water infrastructure sites.
• Prepare inspection reports with drawings and deficiency data.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
• Ensure compliance with EGBC or provincial regulations and safety.
