Job summary

Big Country Equipment Repair Ltd. is seeking a Working Foreman to lead our mechanical team at customer mine sites. You will supervise daily operations, provide hands-on repairs, and instill safety and quality across all activities.

You will coordinate travel, manage shift handovers, and mentor technicians and welders while ensuring equipment maintenance and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed journeyman mechanic with heavy machinery/mining equipment experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role in mining.
• Red Seal required.
• Mine Supervisor Course and WCB Supervising for Safety Online Course completed or willing to do so.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site workmanship and safety compliance.
• Lead mechanical team including technicians and welders.
• Coordinate travel for rotations with Logistics Coordinator.
• Perform maintenance on mining equipment and mentor crew.
