Job summary
Sandvik Mining in Ontario is seeking a Lead Hand Field Service Technician. This permanent role oversees advanced troubleshooting, inspection, repair, commissioning and maintenance on customer mining equipment at mine sites and client locations.
You will lead, coach and mentor technicians, provide technical direction, and travel locally as required. Ideal candidates bring experience with mining equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems, and a Red Seal certification is an asset.
Qualifications
- Trade certification relevant to field service is preferred.
- Experience with mining equipment and electrical/hydraulic systems is desirable.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities are valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced repairs, inspections, and commissioning of mining equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Provide technical support and equipment improvement recommendations.
- Lead field service activities and provide technical direction to technicians.
- Coach, train, and mentor team members on service methods.
- Support work planning, task coordination, and quality execution.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional service.
